Creative Corner was founded in 1983 by our owner, Pam Humphries. While searching for childcare for her own children, Mrs. Humphries realized that none of the available programs met the standards she envisioned for early childhood education. Determined to create the kind of environment she wanted for her children, she designed a program focused on providing young learners with the early life experiences needed to become lifelong learners.

Through inspirational ideas, genuine enthusiasm, and a strong educational philosophy, Mrs. Humphries created an extraordinary school program for young children. Our reading and math curriculum begins as early as two-and-a-half years old and continues through kindergarten. Many students who graduate from our program begin kindergarten performing at a first-grade level.

Creative Corner Child Development Center has grown into two successful centers serving families throughout the greater Houston area. Over the years, our programs have nurtured a lifelong love of learning in thousands of students. Mrs. Humphries takes great pride in the accomplishments of our alumni, many of whom have gone on to attend and graduate from institutions such as San Jacinto College, University of Houston, University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Baylor University, and Rice University.

Today, many former Creative Corner students have become successful professionals in fields such as banking, education, business, engineering, law, and medicine. Mrs. Humphries’ more than 40 years of experience in education is a true reflection of her passion for children and her commitment to helping every child reach their fullest potential.
